I bought 2 Thistledowns, and gave 1 to a friend. She is like me, a fan of the botanical, and loves the wolps.
Like all the 'ghouls, Thistle is a beefy friend. 20" tall is one thing to measure and try to get a visual aid for, but the girthiness, the sheer pouf factor, is not anything you can really prepare for. I am definitely being dramatic when I say they are half as wide as they are tall. They are probably only really a couple inches, 3-4 or so, but when cuddling, they are so well-stuffed it feels like they are more than just a few inches deep and wide. The stuffing just stands up to so much cuddle pressure!
The ears, paw pads, and lighter face parts are the softest bits. The body fur is comparable to the 90s-00s Disney plush in fur softness, and the long-pile is standard long-pile. If you don't dig long-pile in general, like me, it could be a deal-breaker for cuddling. I can cuddle Thistle if I have long sleeves or a blanket, but she just can't be a bed cuddler.
Details are embroidered, so these are very safe for users who might otherwise mouth or gnaw on plastic safety eyes and noses.
